SE PHP and YouTube API
I am using an old version of SE PHP (v4.1.3) and having a problem with the YouTube AP.
I was wondering whether the problem exists in newer versions of SE PHP or there is a solution for that issue

The problem is with the retrieval of the title and description of a posted YouTube video.
It returns:
instead of the correct ones.

The problem started since YouTube have shutdown the YouTUbe API v2 http://youtube-eng.blogspot.co.il/2015/03/dude-are-you-still-on-youtube-api-v2.html

Any information or help would be much appreciated!

Stepan Mazurov yes currently the problem exists, but we will be fixing it in the next version. You can track all info regarding this issue on our public bug tracker at https://github.com/SocialEngine/phpv4-issues/issues/44

AA By June 3rd Youtube disabled the old API so the SE video feature doesn't work anymore for Youtube. There is lot of traffic and financial damage being caused to us. Can you please point to us where to fix it in the code? A tutorial or a step by step instruction, or even just the related file names and locations would help. That way we don't have to depend on your time table until the next upgrade comes out. Thank you!

AA Thank you for posting that. However I uploaded the folder which overwritten a couple of files that resulted the website not loading. Fortunately I was able to revert everything to it's previous state. I will wait to see if it worked for others and then look at my end again.

Marcus Yetter Interesting. I will report this to the dev team and see what they say.

WebZone While your doing that please consider making youtube/vimeo options only with on/off control
