MMAMELEE Well my site isnt in demo mode or new. I've had it for 6 years and we have over 15,000 videos alone on there so I try not to mess with it if I don't have to. My profile page won't load but other will http://mmamelee.com/profile/mmalast will not load please check it out but http://mmamelee.com/profile/mmamelee another one of my profile will. Also when I upgraded to se4 from SE3 my old files from social engine 3 are still there and it's like a ghost town. Can anyone help me identify which files are from se3? Here is an example of a profile that pulls up on SE3 http://mmamelee.com/profile.php?user=Darby and the same profile on SE4 http://mmamelee.com/profile/darby - thanks for the help ahead of time. Much appreciated

SocialEngine PHP MGR Hi @MMAMELEE, This is not a known issue in our software or the importer that is used to migrate content from v3 to v4. Looking at your website and these links, it seems that both the instances v3 and v4 are existing at your end because of which this issue is coming. To enable our team look deeper into this problem on your installation, I'll suggest you opening a support ticket along with the details of your website. Thanks.

Louis Belcourt my site sylviobelcourt.com is fairly new and I have upgraded from a previous version to 4.8.9. It was running very well but under 4.8.9, it is very slow to load the first page as well as other plugins. Not sure why at this stage. I'm doing more research to find the cause. Anyone had the same issue?

SocialEngine PHP MGR Hi Louis, one of the reasons that your site is loading slow after the upgrade can be that your site is in development mode. So, please also make sure that your site is in production mode. Modes can be switched from the admin panel of your website.

Louis Belcourt Still very slow most of the time in both windows and android tablet. As it is a new site, I cleared everything and unzip 4.8.9, I immediately get this error when trying to install.
        Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@sylviobelcourt.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Tried 4.8.7, same Internal Server error. Then cleared everything again and try 4.8.6, everything is perfect. Upgraded to 4.8.9 and again, slow most of the time to load the first page.
I can't find any reason why, but I will keep on looking. There is definitely something weird. When it is slow, it's slow. then it's normal a couple of times and back to being slow again. I've checked and it is definitely in production mode.

Louis Belcourt Thanks for the prompt reply. It's still very slow on my android tablet at times but I have to look at some other explanation. The problem is it seems to be intermittent. After loading, if I hit the refresh button, it goes back to over 20sec to reload. Then I press refresh again and perfect. I'll keep on finding the reason. There is no traffic on the site at the moment. Apart from this, excellent upgrade. Everything else is working ok. Again thanks for the prompt reply. That's is service at it's very best if I may say so.

Stepan Mazurov It looks pretty quick to me, but as usual, there are a good amount of optimizations you can do. Check out our article on the matter: http://support.socialengine.com/php/customer/portal/articles/1637065

Louis Belcourt Thanks for your reply. You are correct. It is back to normal. I have no idea why. The first page took on some occasions about 20 seconds or more to show up with waiting .... Apart from this everything else is working effectively now. It's a very good upgrade.

SocialEngineAddOns We've used the latest update of SocialEngine PHP to upgrade our demo, and it works well. Our newest demo (https://demo.sell-tickets.socialengineaddons.com) is running on the latest version of SocialEngine PHP 4.8.9.
