      Thanks for your feedback. Would you please let us know which bugs in our issue tracker you are speaking of? Here's a link to our Github issue tracker, https://github.com/socialengine/phpv4-issues/issues . If we know which bugs you are referring to, we can check the issues. If you've not submitted them, please submit one issue per report so that our team can look into fixing them.

      Regarding support, would you kindly send your complaint to the attention of Kyle so he can check on any issues you had with support? We do try very hard to ensure that clients are satisfied.

      Regarding the importer to and from SEPHP/SECloud - that is something on the list but we need to get our 4.9 version out first, which is coming in beta very soon. You might like the improvements in that version.

      Regarding moving. I have my own websites on another script. I hadn't upgraded those to that scripts v4 version as it's so bad, I won't make my members experience that sort of mess. As such, I looked at just about every sn out there. I've decided to migrate to SE as it's the only one I've found that will work for my sites, has the security I want, and doesn't have the issues I've seen on the other scripts I researched. Note that I don't frivolously move my sites around either (which is why I've not upgraded it though that script's v4 version has been out for a few years now).

      I hope this helps you decide what to do. If it were me in your shoes, I would wait and see what 4.9 comes with. There are a good amount of fixes in it from what I've seen in the fixed issues list.

      Rick Von Ruden Well, I guess I will give you a history lesson of SE. Back at the beginning of cloud it was known as SE5 and was going to completely replace the php script. They planned on adding the same features that the php script had over time. The current SE customers and developers rebelled against this idea. In order to replace the php script they needed to be able to migrate customers to the new platform but since they kept both, they never wrote the script.

      So SE ended up with a weak social cloud platform and a php script that needed serious upgrading basically a complete re-write. So they sold it to the new owners instead to cut their losses. Both platforms, cloud and php require serious work to stay feasible in the future, and I have yet to see the new owners commit to this. That's why I no longer use either SE cloud or php. I wish you luck.

      Eugene You need to ask for API that will allow to write data. If there will be an API call to register a user - there will be 3rd party plugins/apps for the migration in no time.

      NB. Does SE Cloud fit you needs better than SE php?

      SocialEngine PHP MGR Hi @AA, Thanks for the suggestion, we've added this in our internal feature tracker and will consider displaying some appropriate & meaningful message in our future releases in case when a member would have reached his memory limit and still trying to upload media content on the site. But currently there is no fix for this, so you can customize the code at your end to have this feature.

    PHP SE has been proved to be pretty much a bughell, would it be wise to go Cloud...
    Hello all,
    I have been a PHP SE owner for many years now (since 2013) and the most basic functions have not yet been fixed and improved. See I am not a PHP savvy, if I was I would build my own engine, SE should be something for people who only have semi knowledge in such coding. But SE PHP has failed me numerous time, support and bug response is pretty much useless.
    I have been considering to use Cloud instead. A way different concept ( I don't know why ) but less work, less headache. Since SE team never lived up to their promise to make SE PHP and SE Cloud compatible to be able to import content gtom PHP to Cloud or vica versa - although ironically they made that happen with Ning - I know that my 7000 members will be pretty much a loss I will have to somehow have them sign up to the new website, but I do want to know if it would be worth having Cloud SE over PHP or I should just move and use an entirely different engine.

    Migrating PHP content to Cloud
    So I noticed this have been a long time request from members and a very long time of promise by the SE team (2012) to be done. http://community.onsocialengine.com/post/1407/import-members-from-se4
    Please make it happen already. Nothing takes 4 years!

    Storage limitation gives {"status":false} error
    Hello all. If there is a fix for this, please let me know how to do it. It's been a long time problem for me. See my website has several member levels and I want to limit storage to the basic member levels. For example 1GB only,  When I do that, members that have reached the limit and trying to upload more photos, are not getting the appropriate message but a {"status":false} What I need is to them to get a message saying something like: "You have reached your storage limit, please delete some of you content or subscribe to XY membership to have unlimited storage." I thought this would work by default but for some reason all they get is that error. Any help or advise greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    Member Theme Selection doesn't save
    I don't know if this issue has been raised yet or not but this is a very old feature on SE. Offering members to change their theme. It's a really good feature which I just - after 3 years - want to offer to my members. However, turns out that the theme they select does not save. Once they close the browser and re open it, their chosen theme is gone and the system default takes place. If this is a bug please do fix it. If it is something I must do, change in files, permission, etc. please tell me what the steps are. Thanks a lot!

      seTweaks The theme they choose is temporary. It doesn't save the value in the database. It saves it in a cookie and cookies are not permanent. The widget is mostly used for admins to preview themes quickly.

    Forum Photos create new album every time
    When a member uploads a photo in a forum post, SE creates a new album, named Forum Photos, every single time. Instead of grouping all the forum photos of the same member in one album, every time a photo is posted in the forums it creates a new Forum Photos album. So there are members with 100s of Forum Photos albums, containing one picture each. It makes it impossible to keep photos and albums organised. If there is a fix I can do for this please let me know, which file, what to change, but if it is a bug that needs to be fixed all together please do that. Thank you!

    Steps for Rebuilding my website on AWS, leaving content intact
    Hello everyone, can someone please point out to a documentation or give me the steps of how to rebuild my SE website without losing any data? I use AWS hosting. Database and all the uploaded content are on two different servers. The website, core, scripts, css, etc are on EC2, the website database is on RDS and all the content, photos, the entire SE storage are on S3. I would like to completely reinstall the core and then adding the plugins again - not all -  but making sure that every data and content will be the same as it is now. Please advise! Thank you!

      seTweaks Hello! This is a time-consuming task and it requires advanced knowledge and it can not be explained here. If you would like we can rebuild the web server that contains the core and plugins with a $499 service fee.

    SE loads extremely slow 4.8.10
    Hello everyone,
    I have been using SE for 3 years now and this sudden change is challenging me. After installing 4.8.10  my website loads super slow the first time. When loading the website it takes a long time. On Chrome about 10-15 seconds. On Firefox about 30-40s and on IE it takes forever. Once the website loaded navigating all over the pages is fast on Chrome but on IE and FF it's still slow. Pages load within 3-6s on Chrome, 15-30s on EI and FF. I have been looking to figure this out but I keep hitting walls. I use load balancer but that was never a problem before. Using cloud hosting with AWS. Up until this last upgrade this was not an issue so I just can't figure out what is wrong especially that it is majorly different between browsers too. Chrome handles it the best but still it's slower than I'd like. And only the first load. Please advise. Thank you!

    Socialengine 4.8.10 Upgrade tar file uploads but stops at 100% and nothing happe...
    Hello everyone. Please advise me on this: 4.8.10 Upgrade tar file uploads but stops at 100% and nothing happens. I checked directory and file permissions, everything seems ok. Database is fine as well. Uploading and installing all the plugins separately was no problem but the socialengine 4.8.10 upgrade file will not proceed. Please help. Thank you!

      It would have happened because of some browser or caching issues. If you're facing such issues while upgrading SocialEngine then you may just follow below steps:
      1. Upload socialengine4.8.10.tar to "/temporary/package/archives" folder via FTP.
      2. Then, go back to Admin => Manages Plugins Section on your site and click on the "Install Packages" link where you'll find that package extracted.
      After that, you may proceed further with the upgrade as usual. Hope that helps.

      NOTE: Please make sure that after uploading the .tar file via FTP, you've set Recursive 777 permission on "/temporary/" directory

    Default member level doesn't activate upon sign up
    Hello, I am pretty certain my settings are fine but I may have missed something, although it doesn't look like it.

    When I create a new member level and mark it as default level, that is the member level should be assigned to the new signup members. But it still signs up new members to another member level. Both types are set to "normal". 

    Any suggestions or ideas how I can fix that?

    IP Address info is BLANK
    Hello guys,
    have you ever seen a member signing up and using your website and has no IP address? When you open the member stats in Admin Backend there is nothing next to the Join IP and the last login IP.
    How is that possible? Bug? Or someone is about to spam or hack the website? Should I be worried? What does it mean when you can't see an IP address but it's totally blank?

    What does a Group Officer have control over?
    One of my members brought this to my attention. She promoted a member of her group to be an Officer but the officer cannot approve, nor  reject members. What can an an Officer do in an SE group? Is it just a useless title or it comes with some kind of privileges over other members?

    Why is displaying online members is not accurate?
    Hello everyone, I don't know what is causing this but it seems on my website online members are not showing right. Either through the "online members" widget or the chat, through "online friends" it shows members that have not been online for hours or even days. I don't see any settings that can be changed according to that so it is either a problem with SE that everyone has, or something on server side I don't know about.
    If any of you know how to fix that please post it here because it's been frustrating me and my members even since I opened the website. No solution has been provided yet.

    Chat doesn't show online members correctly
    Hello,
    on my website the Chat feature never shows online members correctly. Even if members are not on the website it shows them online on the list. Is there a setting to fix that with or it's a bug for the SE PHP?

    Members can't upload video
    Hello guys maybe some of you know the answer to this problem. Member on my website can't upload videos. They can embed Youtube and Vimeo just fine but direct upload won't even start processing. Then it lists among the videos in Admin side as queued but never actually gets processed.
    Any ideas what to look into?

    My SE website has been entirely copied. How is that possible?
    Hello everyone,

    Soon after I upgraded to 4.8 I found out that my website exists under another domain. The exact copy of it. The design, all the contents, everything. How is that possible and how can I have that website taken down?

    The worst part is that anytime new content being added to my website, that other website also has that very same content immediately. Like a mirror site. If I can't do something fast Google will penalize my site.

    How can anyone even copy an entire SE website when one license is tied to one domain? This is bad.

    Please help me out with some info and how I can fix this. Thank you!

      seTweaks I guess you have a bot module in your site that sends the content to the other site. probably a nulled module.
