    Profile Multi-line Text Input Field WBR Bug (SE PHP 4.5)
    In Profile Questions, multi-line text input fields throw in superfluous word breaks and/or soft-hypens (depending on what I use to view the source, either "" or ""). They're being placed after every 10 characters of text.

    Breaking words arbitrarily after every 10 characters of text creates word-breaks that are not grammatically correct.

    Anyone have an idea for a solution?

    (I do have a bug report in to SE, but based on my experience I don't expect them to acknowledge it's a bug.)

    Extra Line Breaks in Group Discussions
    SE PHP (4.5) is throwing-in extra line breaks (
    ) after every paragraph ending () in group discussions. They're found in a div class called "group_discussions_thread_body".

    I put in a bug report, but SE said it wasn't replicable. That's impossible to believe, because I've not modified the source code. It has to be something they wrote that's doing it. Especially since they also have another div class, mysteriously called "group_discussions_thread_body_raw" that is not displayed, yet has the exact same content, correctly rendered because it does not have the extra line breaks! (Nowhere else in the software have I ever seen them label any element "_raw".)

    Does anyone else have an example in their SE PHP networks of Group discussion I could see? If it's got those extra line breaks (and I'll bet you it does) I'd like to show it to SE.

    List CSS Class in Generic Menu Block
    Has anyone used the List CSS Class field to work to style a menu using the Generic Menu Block?

    SE Support isn't helpful and blew me off even trying to use this. They suggested just styling menus directly in an HTML Block.. That works and I'm doing it. But not an elegant solution. And it doesn't have the flexibility. I'd rather be able to call in a style using this field in the Generic Menu block if I could get it to work.

    Badges on Member Pics
    I'd like to add a badge to the corner of the avatars/pics. It would be based on certain member levels. I've seen this in some SE sites and it's baked-in to other platforms.

    Anyone have the code that does it? Or know of a plugin that does?

      beanorama I've got SE PHP. Any feedback/info on whether it works for that?

      beanorama Thanks, [401,PABLO], [73,seTweaks]; [80,Hire-Experts]' Badges plugin just might be the thing. Reviewing the plugins page, I see lots of credit-based badges, which might be useful later for a few simple things. But I don't see any mention of automatically assigning badges based on member level. Anyone know whether it does that?

      PABLO Maybe from Hire-Experts plugin?

    Code for Browse Members Page?
    The Browse Members page isn't editable in the Layout editor. Anyone have some quick code for inserting some HTML on it?

      beanorama "Asking" SE to add anything new? I've not been working with them long, but that doesn't sound like it's likely to get anywhere. I can't even get them to fix known bugs.

      beanorama I've not been working with SE enough to know whether this is a distinction that makes a difference or not. But this site runs on SE Cloud, right? I'm on SE PHP. And I use a different theme, too. Does that make a difference?

    Code to format ol ul li tags
    I learned that SE PHP doesn't come out of the box with the ol/ul/li tags formatted. Heck, they aren't even enabled. I found this out when I reported it as a bug and SE support begrudgingly enabled them by providing some code. It was just enough to enable the tags. I thought it worked site-wide. But I've since found out it works only in certain places.

    Before I go learn about how to do this myself, anyone have the code for a solution that formats ol/ul/li tags site-wide?

      beanorama @seTweaks, @Jung Kim, I'm definitely seeing now just how much the ul/li tags are used in building documents. Always learning. It would have hoped that SE would have anticipated that at least some of the non-coding customers they're so vigorously marketing to might have wanted to use them, too.

      beanorama Jung, thanks. That's the same code SE Support provided. It doesn't style ol/ul/li everywhere. So far I've found it doesn't work in HTML boxes on pages. Haven't tested everything to find out where else it doesn't work.

      Jung Kim Try this -

      .blog_entrylist_entry_body ul
      {
      list-style: disc outside none;
      }
      .blog_entrylist_entry_body li
      {
      margin: 0 40px;
      }
      .group_discussions_thread_body ul
      {
      list-style: disc outside none;
      }
      .group_discussions_thread_body li
      {
      margin: 0 40px;
      }

    Pulldown sub-menu for Main Menu Item (SEPHP)
    This should be easy. But I can't find it. How to create in SE PHP a pulldown sub-menu from a menu item in the main menu? Just like we all see in under "Categories" in the main menu above?

      beanorama Just learned from SE Support this isn't coded into SE PHP core. So it's a plugin or a customization. Now I understand why I see so many developers offering menu plugins. Anybody have a favorite?

      Pixythemes.com Maybe you should try the "Fancy Menu" widget, included in SE PHP. It will display a dropdown menu after a specified number of menu items.

    Change Default Profile Photos
    Is there a place within the SE control panel where I can change the default profile photo, both for members and for groups?

    Nothing is showing up for this at all in my searches of both the SE knowledgebase and here.

    Or is this a matter of finding the files in my installation and replacing them with the images I want?

      eric If your talking php,I believe you are,then yes,you just replace the stock image with your own,renaming it the same as the stock image. Easy way.
